JetX winter X2 build...Finished!

Been working on this all winter, finally done!

Check out the B4 pics here --> http://x-h2o.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=234

Downsized the motor a bit from last year...but still a decent setup.

Here is what it currently has...

Hull
Shaved hood
chopped 1 inch off rear
shortened rideplate to match
glassed over fuel filler
new turf
new hood seal (man does it close tight now!)
seat straps
foot straps (not instaleld yet...waiting to ride it first!)
Rebuilt pump
skat straight 15
wetwolf cone
new bars, finger throttle, grips
riser seat
new fuel and waterlines
primer

Engine
stock 92 650 with...
westcoast pipe
Westcoast intake manifold and mik 44
carnkcase and oil blockoffs
TS exhaust manifold
Dg waterbox

Thats all I can think of for now...

Wasn't sure how easy it would fire up after sitting all winter but it fired right up and sounds pretty darn good!

This was a budget build, thats why the hood ain't painted to match...I think it looks all right though.

Just wanted soemthing for farting around the lake when at the cottage.

Enjoy!

looks great Rob ... should do fine ! where did you get the stock 650 ?

thats all mine has in it , basically same set up and it does pretty fine :)
I havnt shortened the rear though but planning on at least cutting down a stock plate for it this year and maybe a lightend flywheel etc ...

I ride mine up at the cottage as well but realy fell in love with the X2 when I took it out on lake ontario in some "bigger" waves .. maybe we can get together sometime when the water warms up .. burlington beach has a great place to launch with a handcart designated area bettween the hospital and the lift bridge .. sundays some of the guys you may have raced with on the seadoos set up the bouys off the beach .........
looks like you did a nice job on the ski for sure !:woot:

Thanks Ang...traded my 750 motor from last year for this 650 setup with a westcoast pipe and the carb plus some cash to a friend of mine up in timmins. Also sold off the factory pipe. Never ridden an X2 with this setup but i am sure I will still be pleased.

you guys are crazy!! Ain't no way I am getting in the water this early. A few years ago in early may I took a dunk while practicing at burlington beach (lake ontario), think I saw my life flash b4 my eyes, took everythign i had just to get back to the boat and than shore. Since than I have been a fair weather rider. Probably won't get out till may this year. I'll come along for the ride though and hold the beers!

To tell you the truth...your ski is probably faster than mine...especially since I spend most if the time swimming after mine!! Still trying to get the hang of the dang thing!

I do have buoys though...

That looks sweeet! I relly like the turfed hoods you guys have done. I think I might make one.

If you can swing it tubbie 2's will make that X2 handle way better than stock. Worth every penny on an X2.
