It was a Hot, Hot weekend in Montgomery... with temperatures in the mid nineties and humid. Just like last year the town of Montgomery bent over backwards to welcome the racers.
On Saturday in GP ski, my gremlins from the previous weekend reappeared. Despite running perfect earlier in practice, come the first moto, my ski feel on it's face resulting in another poor start. Rob Flores grabbed the holeshot and by the time I worked my way up to second on lap 11 of 12 he was a 1/4 lap ahead so I ended up finishing second.
On sunday after some adjustments, I grabbed the holeshot in moto two and never looked back. Moto 3 it was Jim Cebulski who grabbed the holeshot and the moto win. Overall it was a pretty good weekend and a step in the right direction for me ending up second place overall in both GP and Stock ski.
We have two weeks off, so it's back to reality for a bit until the next tour stop in Racine, WI.
