I've placed a few orders through JSS. Every one of them was made with a phone call and went off without a hitch. He rebuilt my S/S switch which is now my backup. I also placed an order for many parts not listed on his site and everything arrived quickly and correct. I love the fact that he returns your calls and the personalized service John provides. He is very willing to take the time to keep you updated or confirm an order.

If know if you run one of his unsupressed coils with a msd plug cap in a boat it will blow up the inferno ignition
Due to the fact there is no resitance in the lead and it backfeeds down and destoys the cap

You know he used to be a regular on the fourms -- don't know what happened, but its a shame he quit..

John is great. I have had him do two complete MSD TL set ups, and have bought quite a few products from him. He is very smart and is very professional. I will be sending him some more work this winter.

I have his hood seals on all of our set ups with no problems.

John has fixed his hood seal problem. I had bought the first one that started to flake off and crack.
He replaced it with his new style hoodseal, paid for shipping and had it at my house within a week’s time. It has 2 seasons of use and is still good.
I have yet to install his start/stop switch.
No problems with John here.......He's always done what he said he would do as far as my experiences have been with him.

I pretty much have everything that he sells. I love the way you can get odd Y-fittings, jap style connectors, reducer barbs etc. All that stuff that is hard to get at your local stores, he has it in one place.

Oh yeah, he's always just an e-mail away too. He's helped me extensively with a few problems that I've had, some more obscure than others.

great guy to deal with, nice source for all the little parts you'd spend weeks looking for. I have had many stators and electrical parts fixed from him, top notch, if there ever is a problem he stands behind it.

I talked to John for quite a while the other day and we got into the "boards" discussion. And he says that his day job keeps him busy during the day and the JSS job keeps him super busy at night so he has no spare time for anythign. Most nights he is up to 12 or 1 trying to get it all done. Everything will be better when he can let his day job go. He is also expanding shop and has bought more equipment for his electrical side of the business.

I try to order things from John when I can because he is one of thoes people that charges you what shipping cost. None of this $13 shipping for a gasket or two. I ordered some carb parts the other day.... Not the whold rebuld kit just the pieces that I needed (which is great) and it arrived in 3 days in an padded envelope and he just charged me $3.50 for shipping and the package had 6 or 8 stamps on it. I like that materials and shiping cost that is it.

Great person to deal with.

You can't go wrong with John Fleckenstein. I have emailed him several times asking questions about diffferent things and he always gets back to me. He sells alot more than what he has on his web site. You need it, he can get it. All you need to do is ask. It is ussally at a better price than any where else. If you can get it cheaper he will beat the price. I done it a couple of times.

I would recommend him to you. :woot:

Yep, I've placed a few orders with John and while I wasnt clear over the phone and got some of the wrong parts, he sorted it all out with me and made me happy. Great service, also saved me 300 bucks by selling me all the parts I needed to rebuild the OEM starter motor that are impossible to get anywhere else. He has most of the stuff others dont, so go ahead and ask. His electrical rebuilds are awesome too.

I think its easier on him to order by email and include part numbers and thats what I've been doing from now on.

Not to beat a dead horse, but his electrical work, and knowledge about it, is incredible! Super nice guy, and easy to deal with, and really fair prices for what you get.
Really cant say enough positive things, he is an assett to our community.

I had my 38’s “taper bored” and completely rebuilt by John, as did a friend of mine. Neither of us have had any problems.
My friend also had his done by JSS and they work great. I did mine myself and also liked the improvement. Initial jetting was tricky though.

Other than JSS's carb mods, he has some decent stuff, like Darin said, alot can be bought yourself from McMastercarr, but he has gone to the trouble to locate the parts etc............. His Stator work is nice, but like every company he has had some issues, but we all know that is going to happen, just ask MadMat (Blowsion) or Madoyster (JSS). For Freestyle, I cannot recommend the hood seal........ if you just ride around and such then it is fine. My first hood seal lasted less than a season, he did send me a new one and it worked for about 2 seasons, but was really showing wear and tear after the first. His customer service is good as long as there are no problems.

One thing I dont understand, of all the Lanier / Riot Rides...... He has never shown up.......... This counts the big rides and the smaller rides...... I dont think he has been there in 3 years. He lives 2 miles away.

Keep in mind that post was over 2 years ago. I'm sure he's worked out issues since then.
