I am sure this has been asked and answered so I apologize in advance. What do you think are the best wet suits out there? I live in Miami Beach. I need one now for daily rides and for Daytona next year. Also, who has the best deals? Thanks in advance!

3/2 refers to the thickness of the neoprene. the thicker material is in the more vital placed like your core and the thinner (2) is in the areas that need more mobility like your extremities. i ride northern california surf only in the winter and wear a 3/2. i wouldnt recommend anything thicker than that for you. i wear an Oniel wetsuit that i bought when i was in highschool over ten years ago. somehow it still fits and has held together very well.

i read some good reviews on O'Neil suits but i couldnt pass up the deal i got on mine. the slippery matrix suits seem to be popular too.

The Slippery Matrix is a POS compared to actual good wetsuits out there. I wear mine in the summer when I'm not worried about temperatures but just want the protection of a wetsuit. I didn't realize how bad and fragile urge Matrix is until I've tried others.

for Miami and florida riding i like a skim suit gives enough protection ( ultra thin wetsuits) generally cheaper than noraml wetsuits too. I ride in an onielll but the sun cooks you when i'm riding atlantic

Bottom line... the suit that fits is best. A tight 2mm wetsuit will be warmer than a loose 5mm wetsuit. I can comfortably ride in 50-55° water with my 3/2 wetsuit. I'm not interested in going any thicker because the air temperature plays a big factor for me because my hands, feet, and face will be the limiting factor in cooler weather and not so much the water temperature. Just something to keep in m ind.

I personally like a 3/2 suit in a john style. in flrorida It's nice to have the option to take that jacket off and just wear the john underneath.

good point.... make sure it fits right. you dont want it to be loose anywhere on you.
