Anyone know of any pair of shoes that I can get for a decent price? I have gone to sports authority 3x's already and spent more then $100 on crap shoes that always end up flying off. What do you guys wear, or what could you recommend me? Trying to get the most bang for the buck ;)

dont know what the thread was but there are several threads that were recently made all about the different shoes people where. I were wrestling shoes and absolutly love them with no chance of coming off. you can order them online for about $30. several other guys were the same thing.

go to a local windsurfing or paddleboard shop, I got a sweet pair of neoprene shoes with rubber soles, I forget the brand, but the model is superfreak, they are super comfy, get great traction, and never come up.

Hey Shonuff, that 2 tone turf stuff is crap and doesnt hold up as you can see. I do know those jetribe boots have a very aggresive tread.

Ive been wearing wresting shoes for 20 years. I like Asics, but have had Nike and a couple other brands.
Go on Ebay and buy them used or if you have one of those used sports stores like "Play it again sports", you can get great deals on wrestling shoes. Most that you buy on ebay are like new anyways.
You can get mint pairs for $20 or so. Lots of high school kids wrestle and them give it up, so there are lots of pairs on there for sale.

2 Tone turf is weak stuff, and this is from maybe 1/2 a season of riding. Stick with the Moulded Diamond, it'll last year-after-year.

I wrestle in high school and I sport adidas adiStars and they are super light and have very good traction. They also have a tie and zip system that makes losing the shoes nearly impossible. They also have mesh all over so water drainage is maximized. I haven't tried mine riding yet because I need them for this season (senior year woot) but next year they will be all ski.

I must have gotten a pair of lemons when I bought wrestling shoes. Compared to my Slippery shoes the wrestling shoes were slick as hell, and I can't use them. Maybe different companies use different material for the soles???

With my asics and no socks (neoprene) I get shoes full of sand... My slippery boats are falling apart after 3 years of abuse but the socks keep the sand out!!! I am going to try larger wrestling shoes to accomadate the socks from the slippery boots... I wish the jet pilots weren't so much I can get two pairs of slippery for the same price... and go only knows prolly 5 pair of used wrestling shoes...

You have to get the ALL RUBBER SOLE and around the toe end area. Dont get the ones with the suede/leather type patches in between the traction areas and on the toe ends. It sound like you got a pair of those, and yes those are very slippery and dangerous.

Good Lord, me too! My wrestling shoes fill with sand immediately.
