Jet Dynamics extended ride plate

for superjet. I ordered a new one on ebay and the bolt holes don't line up. I know I ordered a 2008+. Is it possible I was sent an older model? What's the difference? The back 2 holes where behind the hull, but it does have 2 indentations where I could drill it out.

update: Ebay seller sent me the older plate. I've returned for either exchange or money back. My question is, Has anyone had experience with JD extended vs. Prowatercraft hfc plate for superjet? I noticed the JD had some weight to it. I'm an older rider over 200 lbs. If given the option, since both are ballpark same price, which would you choose? My oem plate had some pitting on one side and it seemed a little unstable to me. Thanks for the replies!

Hey Fellow skiers. So I finally got 2008 jd extended plate. Put it on and went riding on abnormally glass like conditions. It seemed like the back end was pulling side to side (Is this chine walk?) Also white water shooting up back gunwales. When I returfed, I left off those little triangles on each corner. I put some silicone under gunwale corners, but maybe not enough. So, is it just inexperience causing occasional imbalance? Just got ski in spring. Also put a worx 228 grate on. Is it making a difference? lol...maybe Im too inexperienced to realize it does make a difference? Ive heard that jet pump may not be level, by reading online. I figured marina would have checked this when installing new mounts and doing carb clean. He did know about the importance of motor alignment etc., but most places work on couches. I guess most stand up guys work on their own, and I understand why. Anyhoo, if anyone can shed some light on any of this, I would be Grateful!

thanks pondracer. It's been about 25 years since I had a 440. I could ride that one pretty good. Never was a jumper, but stood on hood etc. I guess it seems strange to ride more aggressively, if I even could, when It seems a little unstable. Guess thats what I gotta learn to do. Ive tried one boat wake jump and got disoriented in air. Landed it, but it wasn't pretty. I guess in sports like skiing, Ive always learned control before I ever got into riding more aggressive. Guess that's out the window! lol...:p

Guess I need more tray time. I have a 5mm henderson dive suit, hood, and boots. Water temp here is still warm, about 74, so I'm gonna keep riding whenever I get a chance, but plan on doing winterization myself. I don't have a trailer and ski is on hoist at dock. Really don't want do winterization after it gets too cold on dock, so there is a balance there on how far into fall I want to go. Water gets to around 40 in winter so way too cold for wetsuit.
