Imported these from japan, and making a few up for sale, these are sweeet parts that fit perfect..... 150.00 plus shipping. These can be installed with no glassing on, if hull is gellcoat, and not painted, and can be foam filled once bonded on.

when did splashing parts become cool?

for anyone who wants an original non-splashed x2 fill that comes pre-foamed buy one from tom21. looks like tom's part will be cheaper too.

Not that I know of. Out of curiosity, how many of these parts are original designs of yours?

WAVEDEMON I was the first person in the U.S. to design and sell lightweight shaved x2 hoods. I did that about 3 years ago and it was my own design. I sold more than 20 of them and EVERYONE WAS STOKED by the quality i put in my parts. I also have a round hood mold and hull filler for a gen1 x2...THAT I MADE FROM SCRATCH...So yes I splashed a part for the bottom, but what about Pete Jacobs? Pete is the one that imported this piece from japan so that Mark at 24/7 could copy them for people online...Did you bagg on Pete back then? Or how about everyone that splashes any molds of any kind? Probably not. How about the 5 companies that copy all superjet hulls? My X2 top decks and hoods that I'm making have been changed by design more than 20% for each part. For a truly unique custom X2.

Most of us don't care if the parts are splashed or not. Keep putting out the cool parts that are otherwise unobtainable. A splashed bottom deck to go along with the splashed top deck will be enough for me to get back into the X2s. The Gen 1s are just too limiting......unless, of course, someone offered in this in a lightweight version.

It is obvious that Wavedemon and Tom21 are friends, it kinda reminds me of the way SFL used to defend and promote Waterfreak on every post, either way it gets old after a while, This biz is too small for all the bickering IMHO.

I thought you were staying away from drama, not string it up.

Actually, I've made complex plugs, and molds from scratch. I know whats involved and don't like anyone to get riipped off. if you think you can do better for less, make you own damned part.

splashing parts is for scumbags who are too lazy to put in the honest hard work.

I didn't know, Pete shouldn't do that either.

I don't think making a lighter version of an OEM hull is something people should get worked up about, go for it.

This is one of those subjects that I have a vested interest in since I plan on selling the Jap style X2 footholds at some point in time,I know whats involved in making plugs and molds, the problem I see is everyone that goes through the effort to do so thinks they should somehow be rewarded for their efforts, that may or may not happen in this industry.

I believe you may have misread what I posted,I said I had stayed away from the drama threads, not that I would do so, besides this is or was a sales thread , well right up to the point where you posted anyway.:fing02:
