Anyone ride Jackson lake ga ???

Ya man, Im down there every now and then on my FX1 (white and black fx1 and Im normally by the 212 bridge.)
Theres a couple other riders on here too. tumblingtwerp9 and sportfish258 ride there.

What part of the lake are you normally on? Ive seen more and more stand ups around recently, but not many Xh20 users.

Ratti got kicked off that lake by rangers so beware.

There's also a Ga riding group thread you can post on and see when folks are riding and at what lakes. Don't do flips or you'll get kicked off Jackson, or maybe just don't do them as high as Ratti, that'll catch anyone's attention.

Right now Im on a clean 440 but that may change we have a house down By the dam with a big white dock gonna be here for a while
i also have an x2 project but as of now it's not running

I dont really know the full story but I thought Rattis problems were from exhaust noise. I had heard he was running front exhaust with a super loud waterbox and had several complaints.

Ive never had issues with DNR when Im riding, but I also steer the other way if I see them out riding.
I dont have my registration numbers on my hull :sneaky:

This was on his kdx1200 from what I understand. Rear exhaust on kdx though.

I never really knew the full story so you may be right.
Seems strange to get kicked off for doing flips.
I also dont see how they can kick anyone off of a lake to begin with, maybe give out tickets.

i stay away from the dnr im not registed on my ski or boat for 6yrs

They havent been out too much until the past few weeks, and even then its only on weekends. All of our toys are registered, I just dont have the number decals. I got the registration sticker and card though. I avoid them if possible but I've never had any trouble with them in the past.

There are 4 boats generating revenue on Jackson ....... ( I mean protecting and serving ). Jasper, newton, butts have sheriff patrols and of course the DNR. Jasper wrote 75000 dollars worth last year . Most tickets are written from general shake downs ...... Make sure you have z papers .

They were pulling over lots of people for lights on boats last year. Like riding around with headlights on, which is illegal.
The limit for boating under the influence just got more strict too, its not the same as a DUI.

I got my first hit by the DNR last summer. I rode up too quickly my gf who was sitting on my other ski. I forgot I was supposed to drop into the water and troll over to her from 500 yards out or some crap. Either way it got me a not so cheap ticket.

I talked to the dnr guy and he said u can't get kicked off the lake for flips but...

I used to ride Jackson in high school and never had any problems (and did some stupid stuff) but that was 10 years ago. Up here the DNR, from what I understand, can technically give you a ticket if your pump intentionally leaves the water . It really depends on the DNR officer and how busy the lake is that day from my experiences. I have had them come up to me and pester me even though I was riding completely legal (100 feet away, registered, etc) but right next to a no wake zone...Busy day they didn't want me run over I guess... I usually just joke around with them and ask them how I can get a job with a boat and a gun... Other days i'll nose stab off their wake and they give me a thumbs up. I even pointed out some stupid couchers to the DNR one day and they went and pulled them over... I always wear my helmet and stay 100 feet away from the boats when jumping their wakes. Been riding for years now and no ticket yet, knock on wood.

If you get stopped. Be respectful and at least act understanding. If unsure about something just go ask them for clarification on the law... Funny when you get 2 different answers and the officers start trying to figure it out Let them get to know you on your lake. Once they know you are and out there all the time and not just some weekend warrior, they leave you alone from my experience.


**edit, from my understanding jackson lake was empty the past couple years from damn repairs. They are probably hurting for funds if they are writing tickets like crazy.

Ratti did not get kicked off the lake...his old q8 was banned so whenever he rides he rides a stock rn with bpipe and holds. I used to ride with him all the time but hes in australia right now for a year.

Im trying to setup a day for everyone to go ride one day in august. I'm talking v-wake epicness. I'll post in the ga group when i have a date and address.

Ill be down there the 4th 5th and 6th but it kinda depends on what the weather ends up doing. I got a bit of work to do to my ski too.
If I am out riding it will be down close to the 212 bridge. Feel free to wave me down if you see me out there.

That would be pretty cool. Im moving to north georgia pretty soon here but ill be down pretty often still.
