jackass couch riders

Ross' Fx1 sunk on the way towing back to the harbor last weekend. A couple guys on couches in the area saw the prediciment we were in and stopped to see if they could help. Towing a sunken standup+rider with another stand up in the choppy ocean and two limiting ropes is nearly impossible.

They aren't all inconsiderate dicks.

it's just people that are idiots. makes no difference that they are on a couch, just that a greater number of idiots own them. it is just a statistical probabilty ( the more members in the group , the more likelyhood that there will be more idiots)

BUT

give a typical idiot the choice of a standup or couch and he'll always go for the couch.

I've run out of gas and broken down, and even when I wave my arms and ask for help people boating and skiing just kinda look at me weird and drive away like idiots. The ONLY people I've ever gotten a tow from are my neighbor's and friends who know me. And because of that I've had to swim a LONG way sometimes. It's almost to the point where the nest time I see a boater cut the buoy and get stuck, Ill let HIM jump out and get his khakis dirty. But I usually end up helping anyways, telling them that they are indeed on the wrong side of the marker, and that no, those markers arent just pretty colorful shapes.
