I agree with both methods depending on how the situation is handled.

I do business with Tom and i pay cash for the sole purpose of him not having those fees. Tom treats me well. Anyone else gets the card.

I would pay with cash more often if companies offered a cash discount. Quite frankly, I don't want to pay a higher price to make up for people using cards. Companies don't "absorb" or "write-off" anything. They redistribute it to the other customers. The card is easier for me, and since the incentive for a method of payment is from the credit car company (points, rebates, spendature reports) I'm going to stick it to the retailer.

I have credit card processing and I never use it anymore.When I had my business in Montgomery I burned that credit card machine up,every one paid with plastic,I never charged extra because I knew the payment was good once I took it.Since I moved to Lake Martin no one uses plastic,its usually check and sometimes cash.
