Is this my head alright?

Does this look normal?
I think it looks pitted and what could cause this?

I think that looks quite normal for a stock head. The casting is just rough. Aftermarket heads/ domes are smooth because they are machined in the combustion area too.

It looks ok for a stocker. If it were machined I would suspect a little knocking.
