it is a wc part, my thoughts were a voltage regulator, or possibly a plug in way to fool the cdi to raise the rev limit

I have one that looks similar but it is not a Westcoast branded unit. It spins the bilge every 30 seconds and if it draws enough current due to pump loaded with water it runs until the current drops and shuts off.

Definitely a West Coast box . . . . . if it is an "add on" seperate from the stock CDI then my guess would be it increases the peak rpm limit. I've seen them for SeaDoo but not for Yamaha so I can't say for certain.

Also could be for a "Holeshot" switch in which case it would be tied in with the stock overtemp sensor curcuit.

Didn't west coast make a part I think it was called Roosterbooster or something close to that. It did the same thing as an enhancer but it was in series with the CDI I never had one but i remember guy talking about them at one point.

You're thinking of the Rooster Shooter that enhanced the CDI by creating a bigass rooster tail behind the ski.

i do have a blige pump that is both atuomatic and manul but this doesnt seem to be hooked up to that

The start / stop controls have red, brown, black, and white wires so the blue wire has me confused.

What you are talking about is a roost boost that hooks up in the elect box and works like a msd enhancer.I have a rooster shooter on one of my Ts couches also it can be quite fun.

Let me clear this up because it's the holiday season and clearly I could possibly be the only one who got the joke:

I had a patient yesterday who works for the state department and he is essentially a tour guide for foreign diplomats coming to the states. His job title is a Protocol Officer.

When I introduced myself I said, "So you're a protocol officer. Is that where you make sure the released convicts are doig what they're supposed to do, finding a good job, staying out of trouble, et cetera . . ."

He said, "Ha, not exactly." because he got the joke.

I realize it's not a Rooster Shooter. I realize it's not a Yamaha visibility spout. It was a parody. You don't honestly think I believe that a "bigass rooster tail behind the ski" would enhance the CDI? I mean damn!

if he would show some pics farther back or tell me what it plugged into I might.The wiring colors seem to indicate that it is plugged into the start stop switch wires except for that blue wire which makes no sense at all.Also the numbers on the part itself make no sense to me either.

Udate: I found out what this was. This is a box with the brains to my bilge switch. It must have been a kit that west coast offerd or sumthing ... anyway thanks for helping
