Is stock SJ bilge pump needed if i install 2 aftermarket bilge pumps?

Is this stock bilge pump needed if i install 2 aftermarket bilge pumps?

Also, where does the lubricating tube (if i'm not mistaken what it is) attach to? Is it supposed to just dangle on the bottom of the engine bay?

Ditch the stock bilge (it sucks anyway... no pun) and run dual cooling. Also the Lube tube has a hole where one of the corner reed bolts go through, which hold it in place... hope this helped.

Actually... run dual cooling AND keep the stock bilge as insurance! I ran dual cooling in another boat and ditched the stock bilge pump and then while riding, the AM bilge took a dump so I was stuck with NO bilge. Not fun. You'll have to run another through hull tube, but totally worth it. You'll thank yourself in the long run. Just my .02

I wouldn't remove the stock bilge pump. You'd be surprized at how well it works and it works all the time If you remove it you will be using your aftermarket bilges constantly

I plan on doing the same thing. There are some good threads about it too. I have a website at home saved where I'm getting the tubing from. It's like 11 bucks for some 3/8" O/D 318 stainless, and that's a yard I believe. Just have to tap the pump, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
