Is $5k a good price for Ultra 150 + WaveVenture 1100 + dbl trailer + xtras?

I'm considering buying this package deal, but I'd like to get some input on what others think about it. BTW, I have owned jetskis in the past, so I'm not new to the sport. I'd just like to hear some comments from fellow pwc enthusiasts.

I have yet to actually see everything in person, as it is about a 4 hr drive one way from where I live. I spoke with the owners (early 70's retired couple who enjoyed jetskiing but due to recent surgery, they are forced to sell).

Here is what the ad said:

$5,000 Firm

This is for a set of TWO Jet Skis and everything you need to get started enjoying the water immediately. You and a friend will be able to hook the trailer up, go to your favorite lake, gear up in the included wet suits and life jackets and back these into the water for a ton of enjoyment.

Condition

The Jet Skis are in especially great condition, always stored indoors when not being used and being sold as-is. Maintenance has always been done on schedule and generally only used 3-4 times per season. These have only been used by cautious adults and have never been in an accident. They have always been properly licensed and fully meet all of Ohio's watercraft requirements and safety regulations. My wife and I are retired and find we cannot use them any more.
Everything else in the package is also in great condition and been lightly used. This package, does include EVERYTHING you will need to get started.

Thanks for the heads up, but yes, I'm fully aware...

I currently have a blaster and have started out years ago on standups and have owned several standups over the years.

The couches aren't really for me, we'll the Ultra might be a fun little boat to zip around on, but ultimately the family has been nagging me to get a few skis that they can ride comfortably.

Bump for needing advice on these skis, please

people on here are really oriented towards standups I think you will find more knowledgable people about those skis and other sit down models at PWCtoday.com. I dont know anything about them I had a sea-doo GTX i now have a Seadoo Speedster (jetboat) and am soon going to be looking for a superjet....

good luck with the purchase

The Venture would be worth $2,500 and the Trailer worth $500 easily. That puts the Ultra at $2000 in order to make the deal work.

If those Skis were not so damn clean, I would say only a decent deal. Based on the condition of the condition of the skis, I would say good deal as long as they run as good as they look.

My $.02

I am gonna say OK deal. 3000 for the ultra, 2000 for the wave venture, and the rest is free... For you family they are 2 really good boats. Venture should be very reliable, stable, easily pull a tube/skier and can take 3 persons. Ultra is quick, reliable, and is a fun boat in every condition except heavy chop.

Thanks for all the good comments. We're leaving this morning to drive the few hours to get them. Hopefully they are in as good of condition as the pictures and ad represent them to be.
