I have been told for freestyle that a single 48mm carb is the way to go
My question is can I use a stock sn intake on my rn or do I have to go with after market
If I can go with the stock sn how much better is an after market intake
Any help would be wicket thanks!

a few people have hogged out the intake opening to match up to 48's so yes it can be done VERY cheaply (provided you own a dremel lol) but im sure its not as nice flowing as some of the a/m options. id ride the stock intake for now and take the money you would have spend on an intake and get a 62t case.

Right....He asked if he could use a SN intake on a RN. NO. The cases are different.
ATP makes a really good manifold for a single 48 on RN(62T) cases.
Otherwise get dual 44's or 46's.
What else do you have done? I wouldn't start with this mod. The dual 38's will work pretty well. If you are already piped, ported, etc., then it may be worth doing carbs.

My rn is ported, B pipe (mod), Ada head with 37cc domes

Is that 48 novi a good idea, I was also told I will need a fuel pump is that true?
Do you guys think that's a good set up for freestyle I'm also looking for v force reeds

Talk to Tim at Novi. He will give you the right carb. The freestyle 48 is probably best for you. That is a 44 with the bottom opened up to 48 but the inner part left at 44. PM Mike W He has the ATP mani and Novi freestyle 48.

I just got my ATP mani and a 46 carb!! I will be putting that on my ski shortly.

Are you saying that Novi told you that a single 48 was too big for your ski?
There are dozens of similar skis out there with this set up.
Chris.

those domes are rated at 170 psi...did you decide not to run 185 psi (35's) ? just wondering....

You will need an aftermarket manifold if you want to run dual 44's/46's.
I'm surprised he said a single 48 would be too much carb.......
It seems like the single carb set ups have lost a little popularity, but for ease of tuning they can be pretty nice.
It seems like more people are running dual 44's/46's.
Who did your porting?........Maybe you should talk to them.
Otherwise, I would talk to Team Scream or Art at Jetworks and get their opinion.
When I was running a Superjet in limited class Ed Brazina was telling me I had to run dual 48's!
