can anyone help me out with a reference to another post, or answers to some insurance questions?

the biggest thing i'm concerned about is trailering my new stand-up. if somebody rear-ends me and takes out my trailer (and sx-r) am I screwed or does auto-insurance cover that? Do most people insure newer watercraft? thanks.

Why don't you just insure the ski?

Unless you are 18 insurance is cheap. Pay the couple hundred and go for it, you'll never have to worry about leaving your ski alone. You still worry, but you get what I mean.

if the trailer is owned by you it must have it's own policy, if the trailer is what is called "A non owned trailer" the auto policy from most insurers will extend to the NON owned trailer, and the non owned items on the trailer, however if anything on the trailer is owned by you it would have to have it's own policy as well,

in short, the collision policy to you vehicle only cover's the vehicle, your liability will cover damage to other people's property, you can't be liable to yourself, so you must have a policy on the other items.....

does that clear that up???
