installing new handle pole spring

i just got my blowsion spring in the mail and i am about to go install it on my ski. ive heard people talking about it being a pain in the ass to install them. so are there any tips/ methods for an easy install. ive never put one on before and just wanted some advice from someone that has. by the way, this is for an fx-1 , although it is the same spring as the sj so im assuming installing them should be the same.

It is easier to mess with the spring it you pull the bracket off the ski and install the bracket/spring to the pole. For sure if you don't have a helper thats the way to go.

Sorry, I disagree with gjfx1, put it on, on the ski. If you have the blowsion bracket you will have to cut the "straight leg" of the spring 1 1/4 in. It takes a little patients, but it's not too difficult to install.

bracket on the ski. pole bolt out. pull up a bit tilted forward, slide pole spring in. push/bend/twist/angle/lever pole and spring get bolt through. tap the bolt through bit by bit making sure u dont pinch the coils on the spring.

in the end theres no real way to do it. its a bitch and awkward. you learn along the way ur first time, the second time it takes half the time.

Way I've done it.....first try on round nose = one hour

2nd try on square...maybe 5 minutes?

I should have said (or thought things through better) -- this makes sense only if you have the pole completely off for some other reason. No I wouldn't go disconnecting all the cables if all you are doing is swapping the spring..
