installing enhancer, should I remove the overheat sensor?

Got my ebox apart and stock cdi off. Enhancer is going on there in the morning. However, I have heard people removing the overheat sensor because its just one more thing to go wrong at the lake. Any reason I shouldn't do this?

When I removed mine when I installed the head, I had no problems. But the guy that bought it overheated it, and blew the motor.


So make sure you can tell when your motor is getting warm:bananapowerslide:

Be sure and seal up the grommet with some silicone if you remove the wiring. Another option is to use the old overheat sensor wiring to power the bilge pump. You can just replace the end with lugs and connect them to the main 12v and ground. Run that to a fuse outside the Ebox and to your switch and pumps. This cleans up the look under the hood a little and the need for extra wire to the battery.
