Initial mixture screw settings

Does anyone have a factory service manual for an 86 X2 650.
I need the initial mixture screw settings for a 28mm keihin carb, completely stock, no mods.

I forgot to check them before rebuild. :aargh4:

The manual doesn't tell you what the settings should be. The manual says that you should take it to an authorized kawi dealer because every setup is different. :buttkick: I have a stock carb at home that I will check for you tonight. I never changed it and never had any problems. I'll screw them in all the way and tell you how many turns out each one is. Hope this helps if you can wait.

High Speed – 5/8

I would bet these setting are for a mikuni bn 38mm 1987 up, remember this is a Keihin 28mm only year on the 650 is 1986.

Usually Keihin carb screws are open more than Mikuni carbs.

I just checked 2 carb's I have here and if you go 1 1/4 out on both High and Low you will be safe and fine tune from there, you will be within a 1/4 turn.
