More of a race setup. Not sure if they came with exhaust ports raised or if you had to port to you fitting.
There have been a few here who have ran them with good luck. Not as good as a lamey but better than stock most likely, But it all goes back to who did the porting.

I just sold my ski with mine in it, the port height was the same as a 62T cylinder on mine and it had the auxiliary exhaust ports. I ran mine at 82mm with 35cc domes and a couple degrees of ignition advance and it ran very well, I was really happy with it. I am not sure that ProTec sells the sleeves, last time I talked to them they had castings but no sleeves. You will need a couple studs to mount it to the case, the casting is too bulky to get bolts in the outer exhaust side.
Overall I was really happy with the performance for the money, if I could get (and afford) another I probably would. Like BK said, it is no Lamey but they are generally cheaper and have more potential than a stock cylinder.

I think I paid around $500 for mine, not sure what its actually worth. IMO its worth less than a lamey cylinder and more than a stock cylinder LOL. It can be a gamble, you definitely run the risk of it being decked for a stroker or ported for racing, etc. I lucked out and as far as I know it was untouched from ProTec, the ports weren't extreme but much better and cleaner than a stock cylinder. I think given to the right person to do some porting it could be a really great cylinder.
I bought mine purely out of curiosity and because I had money to burn, it ran well, I was pleased, I'd like another but probably wouldn't spend that much on it again. Best suited for a rec boat, loads of midrange and topend, it went well in my chan I think because it was fairly light and could rev fast.
