increasing the chamber?

anyone tried to ad say 6" of pipe and an extra coupler to the coffmans to increse the chamber for more bottom end brap?

it looks like i have room to do it and looking for thoughts

P rsonally I wouldn't if you want to do some pipe tuning get a flow restricter or adjustable valve,its easier to change the power curve on the pipe with water than it is to actually lengthen or shorten it.Adding more water increases the effective length of the pipe,taking away water shortens the effective length of the pipe.

They already have a ton of water going thru, but it really needs to be higher on the head pipe.

I recently had a Coffman SS Xi pipe and the middle chamber on it was longer than the standard 650 Coffman middle chamber. Well I though about keeping it for that reason but decided to just sell it and recoup some of my money. Besides there is no side mount bracket only some weird cast in places on the middle chamber. I originally bought the pipe and a 4 bolt manifold because the 4 bolt top has a bigger exhaust opening from the exhaust manifold to head pipe. Really I just wanted to use a complete Coffman setup and the 3 bolt 650 Coffman manifolds are hard to come by! Here are the pics of the pipe:

That pipe is for a ts-ss-xi-sc thats why it is a different length,the weird cast in pieces on the sides of the stinger are for the stock brackets to mount to.Actually the head pipe would go 180 from the way it is now.

i have the coffmans stainless 650 pipe now, just thought w/ everyone going to the larger sj/blaster pipes i could sneek some more out of it

Maybe just put a longer silicone coupler on it and try it out.

Or... Weld the two cones together and dry it out more!

I seriously want to weld up a stock pipe and make it into a dry pipe. Sounds like a good job for you weedoo
