Impros Hooker questions

Just in the process of fitting my new Hooker impeller and I have got a problem? I can't get the wear ring section of the pump back over the impeller, It was a bit of a struggle to get it off the old impeller?? It feels like there is a very slight lump in one section?? Does this mean I need a new one or does ever one have this problem. Worried about forcing it on. How much is this part??

Also two nose seals were supplied with my impeller one is longer than the other?? Which one do I use??

Any help would be awesome!!!

I had some slight swelling also, found the blades were hitting, took a dremal and cleaned it ups some. Problem solved. I would only do this if it was minor swelling.

Only one fits tightly around the driveshaft. That's the one I used.

I think I used the shorter one.. I could not get the longer one to fit in between the prop and shaft.

Thats what I had to do.. use a marks-alot to mark up the wear ring..
Then slide it over the prop and spin prop. See where the prop hits and start grinding it down. I had to do this in a few spots.

I just took a flashlight and stuck it in the nozzle end, cut the lights out and you could see where it was tight. 2 spots. One took some work, the other, just hit it a bit.
