Impros.com - David Stewart

I sent an impeller I brought of e-bay to David Stewart at Impros.com for repitch/repair.

I phoned him with my visa details on 25 August then e-mailed my delivery address. I live in New Zealand.

25 days later I had not received it so I e-mailed David to ask for the tracking number. He said he would check up on it when he was in the office.

8 days passed since he said he would check with no reply so I e-mailed David again asking for the tracking number,

5 days later I was informed that it was not even sent........................ the reason given.......... David was on business, and the staff did not understand how to ship it to New Zealand.

So it took 38 days before it was even put in the post .......... that's a shockingly long delay. Not impressed.

Dean.

yeah it sucks but in those 25 days you could have emailed him to see whats up with the prop. the door swings both ways with email it is not a one sided form of communication.

Took a month door to door on my SXR prop to make it fit, then it didn't and had to send it back, another 2 weeks.

I think they just get too busy in the spring.

Had nothing but good experiences. I will say this, and it applies to all the big performance shops, from Late August until Mod October they are all swamped trying to get everybodys stuff ready for World Finals. Impros more so than most.... But, some better communication may have been in order.

Sorry Dean for your long delay. Hopefully the impeller will live up to your expectations. I've always had good service out of impros, but I also live on the same Continent.

Ive only had good bussiness with Dave ''3 props and counting '', and would highly reccomend ! Ask him what he can do to remedy the situation , Im sure he will want your business again !

On average it takes 3 weeks to receive something by USPS so there was no point in emailing him sooner.

I don't doubt his workmanship...... but his reason for the delay was pretty lame.

Ya, I've sent him many impellers for tweaking and rock damage and nothing but great communication and flawless work.

You can go to Skat-trak also. They do all the stuff that IMpros do(cutting back, rock damage, repitching, etc...). Dave came from Skat-trak originally.

You will find it tough to find anyone in this crowd to say anything negative about Dave.

I have had nothing but positive experiences using his shop. I think Impros is one of those companies that you forgive for occasional poor service because they do so well and have top quality 99.5% of the time. I personally would not use anyone else except Impros.

I made that mistake once.
After waiting about three months Skat-Trak finally sent back my impellers. Every single blade on my Solas Concord was bent different and not one blade had the leading or trailing edge pitch I asked for.
The OEM SX-R impeller I sent them to repitch to a 10/18 came back with thinned out blades (same as their C-75 impellers) but the pitch was still 13/18.
I gave Skat-Trak a call and explained to them that I was not satisfied at all with the craftsmanship of the work done on my impellers, (which they claim to guarantee) and asked for a return authorization to send both impellers back to be inspected/fixed. This conversation didnt go too far as the person on the other end of the phone was quite certain that there wasnt any problem with the work he did on these impellers (without even looking at them). Instead I was told that if I wasnt happy with the way they turned out, I could just take an adjustable spanner wrench and bend the blades how I wanted them.

That was the last time I will ever do business with Skat-Trak.

I sent both of these impellers to Dave at Impros to be fixed. Dave turned them around quickly and bent them both to the exact specifications I asked for.

I've been doing all of my impeller business with Impros since.

Eric.

Deanz, there is no good excuse for your experience and I'm sorry for your troubles.

Impros is the only place from which I will ever get impellers. Love me some Impros.
