Just a recommendation for everyone. Please make sure you have a tow loop on your ski! Just in case something happens, it's so much easier to snatch you up with the quickness vs. getting pounded by the waves and losing your ski.

Tow loops everyone!!

Doug

(Pete will have a couple dozen straps for peeps that dont !)

I'm not going to NJ but might show up in FL in January. Could someone post up a picture of one installed so I can see how big it needs to be. Is there a better or perfered one? Just in front or on both ends?

Both ends so you can tow somebody if need be but the back can be a smaller loop. I usually use the slack off a ratchet strap or nylon rope. It's nice to carry a short tow rope wrapped around your waist too with stainless caribiners.

I actually have a rope bungee corded around my pole. It doesn't interfere with my pole sitting on top of my hood and if I need to ever snatch someone, it's pretty much just a reach away.

I had a bad experience out at corsons with my other ski last year. I run an R&D pipe on it. I bought it used and at the time I didn't notice the coupler being about 1/2" too short. Anyway, I had the coupler blow off 4 or 5 times that day. About 3 of those times I was 2 miles out and no one either had a tow rope or was close by. It's not a good feeling to be smashed by washed continously. I have since replaced the coupler and the issue went away.

I put one on each end. and it looks like this.. I also use these thule straps now, becuase if someone does not have a loop, I can still put this threw the eyelet and tow them...
