300/440/550 Impeller Id help...

Well I pulled the pump from the X2 today and when I looked at the impeller I saw no markings indicating what brand or pitch it is. It is definately aftermarket, the previous owner said it was a solas but who knows.

Did the early solas impellers have markings on them?? Would I be able to tell if I pulled the impeller and look inside the hub?? Could it be another brand??

I don't have any pics at the moment but if it matters this came out of a 750 X2.

You might be able to use an angled inspection mirror and a bright light and look on the big end of the props hub.

I had a Jet Sports prop once that only had 650 stamped on the side of it. It was stainless steel but it was a dull grey color like a stock 750 ski.
Sounds like you need to pull it and thn put it in one of there:

well I pulled the prop earlier this week and there was no stamped markings on the inside of the hub, all that was there was a manually written 10/18 and a scratched out manually written 15.5. No sign of manufacturer anywhere. SO I am thinking that it has been reworked and is now a 10/18 skat and was marked wrong as a 15.5 than scratched out. I'll try to post pics but I don't think it will help much. All I know is impeller is in great shape, came out of a 750 X2, and pulls hard.

If anyone is interested in this I will let it go cheap...

I don't think you can re-word a prop from straight to progressive pitch. Maybe someone just marked it wrong?
