Super Jet Impeller Advice

As Ive stated before Im useless when it comes to Impeller talk so I pretty much rely on what im told by Art(JetWorks), Dave(Impros) & Chuck(Xmetal) problem is they dont agree with each other on anything, and yes I have talked to all 3, Dave says Hookers are the best, Art and Chuck say they are to far back, Xmetal recommended Solas Concord 13/17 to 14/18 and sent me an email telling me to get a Solas Concord 13/18, now reading the Tech Info on Impros site it says "4000 feet above sea level, we recommend that you choose 1 pitch combination lower than what the recommendation" Where I usually ride its 2200 (ya I checked)

So If there telling me they have a 13/18 thats in the middle of a 13/17 and 14/18? because of my elevation my best bet should be the 13/17 right

My experiences with Impellers are limited, with my 771 set-up Ive tried the 10/16 and the 11/17, the 10/16 hits harder but not OMG harder just a bit, last 3 years its been a 9/15 Hooker on a limited set-up 701 and I was very pleased with it.

I use to love hookers. I built a few boats with 9/15 and 10/16 on them. I though they hooked up great and were perfect. Art built me a big bore stroker last winter and I knew he was against hookers so I wasnt even going to bring up I was going to run a 11/17 hooker on the setup. Well the first time I took the boat out it was good but I was hoping for better. So I went back to Art and told him what was up and then told him I was running a hooker and he told me no. He sent me a repitched solas 10/16 but he said he played with it a little and was more like a 10/15. I put that on and bored the nozzle 2mm and wow a whole different boat by far. It was night and day and all of the sudden I had seen just was Art was talking about with his prop theory all along. After getting mine all dialed in I was tuning in a friends boat that we had just upgraded with a higher HP motor but we still had the 9/15 hooker in there and now I am feeling that over loading of the pump that the hooker gives it. I think that it does hook up really good it just hooks up too good. I sure there are some setups were you could get a hooker to work great but as for me I am with Art now, run a smaller prop and get the boat on the pipe sooner. My ski feels like it's pulling so hard down low even though it's making most of it's power in the mid to high range with my Mod chamber on there now like Art told me to run. It's all in the pump setup as I found out the hard way.

I think that's my problem, I've tried 2 different hookers and Ive got the same dead feeling boat, It still pulls hard but the coin I spent I should have just stayed with my ported 701 I had last year and I dont think that should be the case
