Is there a way I can identify what brand BB sleeves I have? Ive got a set of 86mm 62t cylinders that need a bore but I dont want to go over 86mm so want to resleave them. I am hoping to be able to drop these sleeves, put in a new set and port match them to the cylinders. Is this a feasable option or am I asking to much?

The sleeves are currently installed in the cylinders. I will try to get them out sometime this week/end.

Can anybody tell me what the OD is on the very bottom of the sleeves (part that extends out of the castings) on OEM 62T 760 sleeves? Looking at what I have I am starting to think that they might not be BB sleeves at all but the stock sleaves bored out.

From what I have been told it would seem that I have OEM 62T sleeves.....awesome, nothing like getting screwed.

Sooo....are OEM 760 sleeves cheaper than aftermarket?

I have an OEM 62t 701 cylinder I just measured. The bottom of the sleeves are 87.6mm. The part of the sleeve that actually goes in the cylinder casting is 90.02mm. Not sure if that helps you any. I thought 62t sleeves were the same, and some just came bored out to 701 or 760 depending on the ski it was put in.

I was told:
62T sleeves 701 90 main bottom=87.52mm
(with a groove so 84max bore)

62T sleeves 760 90main bottom=88.78mm
(no groove )

61X sleeves 701 87mm bottom

ex port~54mm wide
ex port~34mm tall

Yep, that motor is still in my ski and running strong. I have been debating pulling that one apart and putting my 760 topend on it or going new and buying another set of cases and new crank and keeping this one together.

What do you guys think of SBT sleeves? Keep in mind this is an ultra budget frankenstein motor.

are they big bore sleeves or not then? I picked up a set of big bore sleeves starting bore 84.5 max over bore was 86.5 I think, total shipped was 180-190 from canada A local guy quoted 200 to press out the sleeves and bore it out so the new sleeves fit then deck it and bore it (just going to start it at 85mm I think) Think he does alot of the work for the jetski shops here

The ones I had where not big bore sleeves just standard 62T760 sleeves. If I where you I would start at 84.5 to leave as much room for future work as possible, you wont notice the difference on .5mm and will save a bore, plus 86.5mm can run into head sealing problems and expensive pistons. You can remove the sleeves yourself, it could save you a little money, I did it for the first time on this cylinder and it was pretty easy.

I just re read your post, and now I get what you ment, yeah i had thought about pulling them myself but i would rather the guy see how they come out and put the next ones right, I dunno how many he has done like this since most shops tend to resleeve with stock instead of going big...
