300/440/550 Ideas for my project 85 kawasaki 550

I just bought my first stand up and I'm looking for some ideas of how to modify it. It is an 85 Kawasaki 550 that is bone stock, It needs a new starter that I know of. I got it for way cheap. I had a 91 when I was living in California that was given to me, but it was already modified when I got it. Any ideas???

exhaust.....you could prolly find like a west coast for cheap on here

Theres endless things you can do. Exhaust, intake grate, rideplate, bigger carb, Aftermarket head or mill your stock head, i could keep going.

What are you looking to do with the ski? You want low end grunt or topspeed?

Its mostly river and flatwater riding in and around Austin, so I'd like it jo be able to get out of the water quickly, I'm not too worried about top speed.

get a SS impeller, like a strait 15*. Bump up compression either by milling your head or getting an aftermarket one. Get a wide open deep scoop intake grate to keep the pump hooked up. And add a pipe, 1/2 pipes work really well for low end. Also an aluminum flywheel will make a HUGE difference in lowend.

PM me if you need any parts, im selling a dam near brand new factory 1/2 pipe chamber for the piston port motor. You will need a stock jetpower exhaust in order to run a 1/2 pipe. Also you could put a 440 pump in it if your not looking for top speed.

I located a mikuta 44mm carb with a K&N filter, a coffman exhaust manifold and pipe, a solas impeller, a coffman waterbox, and an intake grate and ride plate from a buddy.
