I go to NC State, so I live in the middle of Raleigh during the school year. I live in Mooresville, NC when school is out; right on Lake Norman. You will be bringing your ski to RTP I assume? Lake Jordan is pretty close by to me, and even closer to you. When will you be in the area? -Kurt

I love Lake Norman! :arms: i went there 2 years ago... it has been my favorite lake so far! Ill have to look you up....

I just found out that they picked me! I applied for an internship with IBM at Research Triangle Park, NC. Its 25 minutes outside of Raleigh, I just got off the phone with him and he told me unofficially that I was in! Next week he is coming up to talk with me an one other about it all.....

So obviously my first concern.... Where are the ridding spots and who rides around here:Banane09: :Banane09: ....

Im gonna need to make some friends down there, give me a shout if your near by!

So its all official now and I have to find a place to sleep, shower, and park my ski, you know then expensive stuff.....

I see that RTP and lake Jordan(probably ridding spot) are only 15 minutes apart! Thats cool!!

Question for you locals/ppl that know the area?
Do you know any good places to stay at: I am looking at the outskirts of Durham, Chapel Hill, or Cary....

I cant realy find much on the web....
I would hate to drive down with a load full of stuff and just start looking......

So when is the projected date you will be here? I can help you out with looking for a place to stay; what do you have in mind? My dad is a realtor, he may be able to help. Also, my girlfriend goes to school at UNC Greensboro and she just bought a condo, but she will be living in Mooresville over the summer (May-August). If you needed a place to stay for a while, I am sure you could stay there pretty inexpensively! Can't wait to have another rider! -Kurt

My b-day is the 12th of may, Im leaving mothers day the 13th (arnt i a wonderfull son:banghead: ) an I am starting the job on the 14th of May

My end date will be August 17th or 22nd. That gives me 14-15 weeks of work down there.....

Greensboro looks kinda far... its an hour from th job.... maybe though.....

Curently im a loner moving down there, I was told another kid was selected form my school but havent found out who yet.....

From what I have been looking at im expecting between 300-500 perperson in a decent place...

I have been doing some looking, since i dont know the places little house just dont feel comforting, i would rather live in a complex or community, but i can understand it might be to expensive.....

You should be able to find something that suits you well in that area, if you do some checking around online. What is the address of where you will be working at? I may be close by to it, and could recommend based on what exact location you will be commuting to. If you need something temporary for like a week or so, hit me up. I also have 2 real good friends who have a nice apartment in Raleigh, that they probably will not be using. I will talk to them, you could likely even live there all summer! It is like 1 minute from I-40 and I-440 (beltline). Shoot me your # if you want, and I will give you a call! Can't wait, you better have your weekends open to come ride on LKN!!! -Kurt
