sounds cool. I'm heading back to Canada early October to get my other skis and all my gear. Back home I ride until the ice stops me so water temp is not going to stop me. One of the biggest draws for me to move here was the oportunity for surf.

I just bought a mint 96 Roundie a few weeks ago and am getting it dressed out pretty good. Can't wait to try it out in some surf.

Anyone up to riding this weekend?

I'm living up in Barnwell for now but work down around Fairfax. i was looking to relocate to ridgeland just so I'm closer to the ocean.

man ridgeland is about 15min from me! hit me up when you get back from canada. also craig568 lives in beaufort too. feel free to hit him up he is always down for riding.

I surf rode in Myrtle Beach for 7 days strait, beach carting every day (in March). I never had a problem and had glassy 2-3footers every day. It was one of the best riding trips I ever had. I'm probably going to do jacksonville next spring thou for some warmer water.

2 different campgrounds that were oceanfront. I can look up the names if you are interested. Off season Myrtle Beach is pretty cool with skis if you look at the laws:

Of course we rode down the beach 500' to where there was no ppl, and our skis are fairly quiet. If you go infront of a bunch of ppl with loud waterboxes, your ass is getting a ticket and thrown out. Gotta respect the locals....lol

HHI area is mostly pricks.
You can drive south to Tybee Island, GA. We will wither be riding Tybee this weekend or maybe head south to Jacksonville.
Looks like crappy surf in the forcast though.

you guys ride tybee!?

I swear, I may move to Savannah before it's all said & done. I love Va. Beach & have been here all my life, but I've taken several trips down there & I may have fallen in love with that town. Went to Tybee Island the last time & climbed the lighthouse. That was back in 06 though.

You have to stay 1000ft away from the main front beach side, but it's only a short ride out to the break. There's a big sandbar between Tybee & Little Tybee where the waves break.
Check out 'alley 3 Tybee Island, GA' on google maps. That's the sand launch ramp & parking spot. Usually alot of kayakers launch there to ride the creeks.
I just realized it was on street view also. Sweet!

I just looked at it. Google earth was showing a flat day, but it looked pretty sweet. I've gotta ride that spot at least once!

I have a friend in Myrtle Beach. I plan on heading down there next June to check it out. Gotta hit the Zeppelin coaster at Hard Rock park too. :cool2:

I hear ya, I have to find some flat water and dial my boat back in once I get all my new stuff bolted on. I was hoping to get everything installed this weekend but I'm going to be short a couple parts yet. Let me know how you guys make out. Tybee wasn't that far of a drive but closer is always nicer.

Charleston Surf

I'm from Charleston, and having a hard time finding any place that will allow jet skis in the surf. Right now I do most of my rinding in Lake Moultrie and the Tail Race Canal. I want to start riding surf and steady searching for the closest beach. If you ever wanna ride we got a decent group of x2s and standups so let me know. Keep me posted if you hear anything and we'll do the same.

Are you able to ride saturday or is that a travel day? There are a few spots we just haven't bothered to try out yet and this may be the perfect time.

Well I was not planing the trip around riding, but if there were some people in the area I couldn't pass it up. Moultrie is just about as from from where I'm living and where I'll be vacationing so I'll plan a weekend around riding another weekend. Its not that big of a deal.. It also does not help that I'm car pooling people as well.
