I need some opinions on a refoam or to just go with it...

Ever since I got my ski the right side bond rail has sat a good 1-2.5 inches underwater. I just fit my footholds up tonight and was planning on doing the DOW foam refoam, but my foam behind the holds is dry. I read a thread awhile back talking about how the battery can make it sit like that but mine just feels a little fat to the right side. Maybe I'm just trippin... Anyways what do you guys think, should I at least cut the tray open and check the foam?, Refoam while I already have it hacked up?, or just go with it and finish the holds and turf?

I was planning on waiting until winter but i just couldn't take it anymore. I was tired of my feel sliding out from my wedges. Anyways I recruited a friend and we pulled all of the foam out today and layed some 17oz biax for reinforcement. I hope to get it filled with foam tomorrow and get my footholds glassed in. My bundles of goodies from blowsion shipped today so I should be back in business for July 4th weekend!

I would strongly advice refoaming with something other than two part foam unless you are 110% sure the hull is completely sealed.

I'm using extruded polystyrene just like Proformance1 used in the link I posted up there. Tonight I got all my polystyrene in and carved the places for my footholds. I should be ready to glass everything back in tomorrow after work. I was thinking maybe a little 2 part foam behind the footholds for some support? Even if it did get waterlogged it wouldn't be much. I've been taking some pictures with my phone and I will try and post them up tomorrow.

One last thing, when I tore out my old foam I found out why it was soaked... There were two holes in the back of the engine compartment. I'm guessing where yamaha poured in the factory foam. I sealed them up pretty good though.

I got my footholds epoxied in, going to lay some glass on them today. I got behind a few days because I had to spend some time with the girlfriend. Some pics from my phone.

Not sure why the pics are sideways and out of order. But I guess you get the picture

My turf and stuff comes in tomorrow, I'll be in the water this weekend and I will let you know how it feels. I stood on it today in the garage and it felt pretty good. I think it has went smooth being that this is my first reform, footholds, and turf. :headbang:
