I need some mod advice

I need some help on what mods to do on my 93 sj I just bought, both hull, pump, handling, and engine. Ive modded my 550 over the past 3 years but im new to sj's and what you can do to them. Ive also read almost every article and build in the freestyle section. Every ski and person is a lil different so I need some help on what may be the best for me, I didnt really get any responses on pwctoday so thats why im askin here now, this site is way better imo. I just want to use this for reference for when I can spend the money on parts and time to do some stuff.

the ski-93 sj intention of use is flatwater freestyle/freeride, nothing too crazy but barrel attempts this summer for sure.
mods-k&N water sucker filter, I kinda want to look for a stock FA
a rideplate, forgot the brand but has a few grooves in it
open intake grate
mods ive done since last week when i got it;
0 degree bars
trigger throttle
umi grips
800 gph bilge
primer
trigger throttle
on its way-
homemade wcf holds and grey diamond turf kit and side rail kit
solas 14-18.5 impeller

k with that said what are the next steps and mods that are the most cost effecttive, I like making stuff but dont have anything like a compressor, welder, or anything like that.
Heres what i kinda plan in the near future
hood straps
bore nozzle
wet wolf freestyle cone
maybe hand holds or maybe just some sort of strap riveted on(the hood needs work anyways)

The stock ride plate is good for freeriding, you can cut a 3 or 4 inch semi circle in the back of the plate to help get the nose up higher if that is what you are looking for. some even say it help carving.

Stock flame arrester is a good idea.
wet wolf come + bored nozzle can equal cavitation depending on HP
you've already added bars but search for "snowed in" to find a home made shortened turn plate
you could add a limiting rope for cheap.
Look for a cheap pipe if you have stock exhaust. It may not be as good as a B pipe but better than the piece of crap that is on there now.
start looking for a 701 if you don't have one. some of the motor you have now will help build a 701.
get rid of the open grate and add a scoop grate. the deeper the better if not on flat water.
Yamaslut hood mod is a great idea for squares.

My SJ still has the 650 in it too. I got the flywheel lightened, wet wolf cone, MSD, Solas Concord 13/16 cutback 3mm. The previous owner had Groupk mill the head, and he put a Coffman exhaust on it. The flywheel, exhaust, and MSD can be moved over to a 701. Did you just get the Solas prop or did it come with it? I think that's a J prop. I had the same prop on mine and sold it for $80. My buddy put it on his wife's Raider. It was too steep for the 650. A different exhaust will make the biggest difference.

Edit: I did the homemade shortened turn plate on mine, and it made a big difference for me. I've been on the water twice so far this year with no problems at all.

I just got the impeller, but still need to install it.
Can you cut a d if it is not a stock ride plate and will it improve anything?
If I bore the nozzle or get a wet wolf cone which one should I do first?
Should I get the head milled seeing its a fairly cheap and easy mod?

you could cut a D in an aftermarket plate but it would be a waste in an extended plate.

Its' up to you on the bore/WW. I think I'd do the bore and clean up the siphon obstruction.

getting the head milled should give you more bottom end. make sure you check the squish clearence (directions in the tech faq) after it's milled though.

so when I got the the machine shop what do I tell the machinist to mill of for a stock 650 head, and what do I tell him about the nozzle?
Is the nozzle 85mm max?
He did a head for my 550 before so I trust the guys work there, I just dont know what to say about my yamaha, and when I check the squish after how much should it be or if he does it right do I even need to?
