forgive my ignorance if this is a verbotten subject.

Whats the deal with this site? I see ALOT of names from PWCtoday (which unless I'm mistaken is refered to as " That other site" ) I read all the stuff I could find and am still clueless. how did this site come to be?

Dont get me wrong, I'm not complaining. it seem to me the best and brightest are now over here. But I was curious what brought about the change. I was off PWC all winter so I probably missed what ever happend the cause the spin off.

please a little history if you would.

Rob Kennedy sold pwctoday to SBT, SBT made a lot of changes, a lot of users didn't like them but the owner (Greg Pickren, Bryan is just the IT guy he hides behind) doesn't listen to users, so we created x-h2o. Our goal is to promote the sport, not make money off it. SBT's is to make money off it.

So far our approach is working, look at the freeride tour exploding, we just hit a new record again yesterday with over 700 posts in a day, etc etc. This place really is run by the members, and even mostly paid for by the members since our hosting fees are paid up for the next 10 months just by user donations.

That's the nutshell. There is just a clash of philosophies I guess.

I was wondering who in the hell SBT was and why that place seemed so uptight since I've been back. thanx for the no BS answer.

I went through a similar experience with a dirt bike forum I was a member of. So I under stand where you're coming from.

Is there a place to donate? I'm in.:biggthumpup:

actually smart guy... HOME for me is Port Orange, FL. I grew up there. I currently STILL own a home in Orlando. so CRUISE UP would be correct.:nutkick:
