sittting here listening to my dumb ass neighbor trying to start his old piece of crap wave runner 500, for the last five minutes hes been starting it, it runs for half a second, then it quits, then he tries again, over and over and over, I could go over and try to help him, but he wouldnt take my help or trust me, or let me touch anything


its not like i spend every minute im on the computer on jetski forums or anything.....

i cant talk much though, i was given a wave jammer and a trialor from a different neighbor for mowing her lawn, at least im not attempting to get it to run, just trying to sell it and the trailor and get a sj




and theres a back fire.... and his little son screaming....

and he just got it started and revved the f**k out of it for about 10 seconds, then it dies, and then he did it again about 2 more times revign the hell out of it,

again i would go over and help, but he would treat me like some little 16 year old, even though im bigger than he is and know way more about jet skis than he does...


oh well, once i get the sj i'll have to go out and race his lil WR

Maybe if you went over there and offered help he wouldn't see you as a 16 year old 'kid', he'd see you as a young adult willing to lend a hand. Could go a along way in the future. Someday you'll need a tow. Someday your car may break down on the side of the road. Someday you may throw a party at your folks house and instead of calling the cops, the neighbor ignores the noise because you are the cool young guy that helped him out. Take it from the 'old' guy living in a neighborhood with a bunch of teenagers, some helpful and cool, others total useless punks. You catch more flies with honey...

I bet a WR500 with a nice 701 in it would rock in the surf. It would probably only last about 10 minutes, but it would be fun for awhile. I'm guessing that it's only running on starting fluid, which is very bad for the motor. He probably could use a carb rebuild. Offer to do that for him if he buys the kit and gives you a six pack.

i understand what your saying, but you kinda have to know this guy in order to understand where im coming from, theres just alot of things that happened that i just wont get into,

but yea, he told my other neighbor that he just got it back froma mechanic that went all through it :biggthumpup: haha yea.

either way it was good listening for literally around a half hour of it starting for 2 seconds, and i went to my other neighbors house and talked with my friend and he said he already offered help when the wr neighbor told him about getting it back from the mechanic and was all erigant about it, so we leave the wr owner to his own stuff

dont hate on the WR500. I cant get mine NOT to start! If I could, I would have an excuse to ditch it and get another standup, but my daughter wont let me.
Good cheap tow truck, good for newbies and the little girls my daughter likes to bring to the lake.
You can hate the neighbor, but dont hate the WR.



Oh, and a 701 wont do brap for a WR with its itty bitty pump . . . . . and putting a bigger pump on would be like putting fancy rims on a Fiesta!
