I found another drag boat

This boat has been down for 2 seasons. They looked for 2 weeks almost constant, the owner even said that he slept on the boat ramp a couple nights. The guy has $10,000 invested in this baby. I went out with him last Sunday and found it after about 3 hours,ha ha. Ben (the diver) confirmed it today, its a boat and its upside down, and the bottom contour is that of a drag boat. The location is very close to where he lost it. My 987c Humminbird is really paying off. I installed a 256mb scan disk memory card in it to be able to take pictures off the screen. I went to Wal-Mart and got a scan disc reader and uploaded the images to my laptop. How freakin cool is that, amazing. In some of the pictures you will see a ghostlike object, thats the diver. I know this is a jet ski site, but I wanted to share this info, may help someone some time.

Man that is great that you have found another job with that piece of equipment.

But what in the hell was I looking at. No wonder it took you so long to find your ski it would take years to learn to read thoes dots. Can you trace the outline of so called boat and then post a picture back up so that we can tell what you are calling a boat. Looke like a river bed from about 10,000 feet up

its not the white stuff you have circled its the tiny triange shaped stuff in the center, thats interference, objects on the bottom leave a shadow because it projecting sonar at a side angle, the strip in the middle is a the boat and you are seeing a left and right side( two separate signals from the side view) of the bottom, things sticking up from the bottom leave a sonar shadow. Look for nearly white objects with a dark shadow immediatley to the outside.

Crap, our lake water is now 53 degrees

Very cool Luke .
transfering that image with the card turned out great!

Not to mention your new sonar skills, a few more passes out at the lake and you will be able to find your ride plate, pump nozzle.... while your looking I lost a 10 mm wrench.

This guy is a quitter!!! looked for 2 weeks!! You looked for 8 months.
I'm still in awe of your jetski recovery. Hopefully all your efforts will help you re-coup some costs.
