Footholds came today, took about a week. Is this how the enclosure is supposed to fit? BTW, they're the Waterdawg REVs.

Footholds are about ready to install... I had to order some 5200, should be here this afternoon. An angle grinder with sanding disk takes the foam out fast. Also, my footholds weren't even close to clearing the exhuast tube, so out she came.

While I was waiting for my glue, I started on the one way/scupper tube install. I'm mounting a one way in the firewall so I can easily remove or replace it.

Poured and sanded foam in the bondline, a little goes a long ways. Foam may also be the messiest thing in the world to sand.

I also glued in the footholds, it was kind of a pain to get them sucked into the tray sides. I got a little grinder-happy cutting out the holes for the footholds, so I have a little extra fiberglass work coming my way.:arms:

I couldn't find another mixing container after I foamed. That and I'm lazy.

Okay, I decided to be a little more resourceful, and i'm not THAT lazy, so I pulled the holds out, cleaned off the still-wet 5200 and reinstalled them with epoxy resin.:clown:

To fill in the gaps when I installed X-holds I used epoxy resin and 404 filler. Mixed it up into a thick paste and went around the edges w/ a 2in strip of glass. The 404 also has very good adhesive properties and allows you to shape the excess with a sander.

First layer of glass, I used woven cloth strips on the edges of the holds and a layer of biaxial mat on the tray. BTW, US composites' medium epoxy resin cures really slow at 50-65*, I wish I would have gotten the fast stuff.

Is this common that the WD footholds hit exhaust tube? Or did you instal too far forward. Did you replace exhaust tube or are you going front exhaust only?

The waterdawg holds are pretty big, and I installed somewhat far forward. Even if I installed them further back I'm not sure it would clear.(installing them the way I did, with the bottom of the hold flush with the tray. Where they sit now the hold is blocking almost 2/3 of the exhuast tube passage. Another thing that I did that limited clearance is grinding off the lip that came on the bottom of the hold, I suppuse you could leave it so the hold sat above the tray or grind it so the rear of the hold is lower that the front. I'm going with front exhuast.

I Foamed the holds, glued the door shut on the nose and assembled the one way tube. 5200 is supposed to cure for a week.

I just drug my ski into the garage last weekend. I gotta tear my old holds out and put Rev's in.

I got a Square to work on, too. I am having a bear of a time getting motivated.
