RE: I have a 91 kawi 650 sxi for sale. Great ski! Has factory exhaust, new impeller for low end torque, Westcoast ride plate and intake grate. K&N air intake and new Hyro Turf before last season. Really Clean ski. Title in hand. Then u can have a 90 kawi 550 sx. It ran before i took a couple of parts off it. Haul is in perfect shape. A motivated seller with 2 ski's for $900 bucks, dont wait cause there priced to sell.
FIRST, I PERSONALLY LOOKED AT THESE MACHINES. ONE HAS TITLE OTHER SELLER CLAIMS BILL OF SALES ARE TOTALLY LEGAL. THERES NO MODEL CALLED A 650 SXI. 650 SX YES, NOT SXI. SECOND. neither machines have after market pipes like seller claim, both stock as they come. neither have new impeller, both are stock chewed up impellers. the black one has a "custom" paint job with a big fancy F on the side which decreases the value by half right away. The black one is missing the moulding up in front by the gas tank along with bushings for the front handle pole so it wobbles side to side violently. the black one also has a finger throttle thats bent and a kinked up throttle cable that wont return to the idles position... dont let these guys tell you these are no big deal fixes,, the one kid will answer your questions with answers that will make you think he has no idea what hes talking about.. while the other drinks beer behind him and takes offense to the questions you ask followed by blurting out 800 is as low as we will go!!,, because its such a nice machine.. well as i further inspected the machine i realized its missing 2 motor mount bolts that had cracked off inside the motor,, it was so bad the motor could be lifted 6 inches with my hand, i was told a tiedown strap could fix that? HAHAH!!wow!! then as i proceeded to inspect,, the OEM pipe was pointed at by one knuckle head and a remark was made how it was an after market pipe. right on top of this motor in the plug holes staring at me were champion AUTOMOBILE spark plugs,, you know and i know what that does to a motor,, can you say run way tooo HOT!!!!?Well,, needless to say i thought that was all i was going to encounter,, to top off my whole experience i asked where the crank drain plug was, i was looked at like i was from another planet, i guess it must have fallen out amidst the motor rocking back and forth for the season they said it was drove missing the motor mounts.. no wonder the idle reved up and down violetly.. i guess hole in the bottom of the motor exposing the cranks make them run lean,, who woulda thought.. on top of it all,, no battery was included in the sale. to sum it all up.. this machine was a time bomb ready to blow and this kid lied to me because i told him im new to the sport. DONT BUY THIS PILE!!
now to the 550sx, this machine i was told just needed the wiring harness plugged in and the handle bars bolted on. NOT TRUE!! all elctrical boxes cdi and solinoids were stripped, handle pole was missing rubber bushings, gas cap was nowhere to be found and it has no hydro turf. didnt bother to look for holes because we all know a good beer cooler needs a drain hole.. which was about all this machine could be used for..
this is just a warning to unsuspecting craigslist jetski buyers.. stay away from these, this guy obviously has no idea what a "clean" machine is..
