long story short the nights have been cold so the lake is in the low 70s add to that high gas prices and it makes for an almost boat free lake. I have seen nothing better than a few small ski boats. there was a wake boarding boat one day but they were towing so I just got some sloppy seconds out of that deal. what is the best angle to hit small wakes at? if I go to fast I just skim over the top to slow and I barely get the butt out of the water and thats just me picking it up with the holds. I usually come in at a 90 degree angle.

you'll need a sharper angle than 90 so that your whole ski will drop into the trough of the wake. don't forget the pre-jump blip on the throttle before you drop in too.

run less fuel in the tank, and D cut your ride plate, those two things right there made the difference in me easily getting the boat completely out of the water with a simple throttle modulation/bunny hop, or not coming out of the water at all.

Or do what SXR Lou did spend 15 grand or so and have a big Lamey motor 1/2 throttle I was 4 ft. out of the water and I think it had a bad plug.

When i had a sitdown, i always liked to come into a boat wake at like a 45 degree angle or a little steeper, so i could get the ski to drop into the trough.

angle also depends on your speed and wave size......land into trough and preload with your weight nailing it up the face of the wave then lift with your footholds. then as you are about to land let the rear end drop and hit first. looks way better and you get higher than just gunning it out of the water.

very nice... wifey finally caught on that i bought a new wetsuit, pfd, gloves and helmet for this season..

yeah, the bunny hop pre-load and throttle blip work well - play with a little... you'll find the "sweet spot".

Hit the steepest part of the wake going opposite direction of the boat. Stop going so fast that you skip over it. Nail the throttle on the way up the wake.
Ask your wife if you can borrow your balls to go ride.
