Freestyle I am a dumbass

Went to the lake yesterday with the niece, son, his gf and myself. Awesome day of riding. No standups unfortunately, just the wifes Ultra 250x and the daughters B1.

That being said I didn't bring my gear. Helmet, gloves, shoes. Effin stupid...

The wind gave us some very nice chopped waves and a wakeboard boat also gave a nice wake to add to the chop. So I was on the B1 and thought I'd take advantage of the nice wake given to me and do a nice stab. Don't really remember what exactly happened after that. For some reason everything looked orange, I was happy to be awake and able to swim to the ski. Took some time to get on and going again.

Bottom line is, I really messed up not gearing up. I went for a standard trick and it went wrong somehow. My shoulder is sore as F. The left side of my head hurts very bad, swelling, sore jaw muscles etc.. Gnarly bad dreams last night, in and out sleep at the flick of a switch, nausea, peeing out my ass, cut up and swollen right hand, cut up knee... I'm very disappointed in myself basically. And I'm still stuck on stupid. Really is suckin. Can't wait for the blonde fuzzie stupidness to stop.

Not a good time at all LMAO!

Gear up.

Dude, you got a really serious concussion. You are lucky you're okay after sleeping that night, if you go to sleep after a concussion like that you can easily fall into a coma. Go see a doctor, you are going to need prescription anti-inflammatory drugs to keep brain swelling down.

You are right on that. I was awake for 5 hours after and found out later that I should have stayed awake for 8 hours before sleeping. I did some anti inflammatory, stayed cool and stayed hydrated as per a friend EMT. I should have gone to the doc straight away though. Next time I'm going to the doc. I feel I got a bit lucky. Dumb luck literally.. Thanks for the input on that and hopefully others can learn from this.
