Other Hydroturf being slow or am I being impatient?

I placed an order with hydroturf for some black molded diamond and some plush underpadding. Nothing too crazy. Since I'm on the east coast I know it takes almost a week for it to get here but I remember them shipping out the orders a lot faster. I basically placed the order late Thursday night May 9th so really Friday the 10th would be the day they got it. It's now the 23rd and still no tracking number. I called and they said their standard turn around time is 6 business days so the order wouldn't have shipped yet.

Just seems like a really long time because if it ships today, it still won't arrive until next Monday and that's 3 weeks to my door. Am I being impatient or is that fairly standard?

I get my turf from Blowsion for that very reason. They have it in stock, ship within 24 hours, and it gets to me in a day.
This isn't so much a fist bump for Blowsion as it is a diss to Hydroturf. Since I'd rather order from a 3rd party instead of direct.

Ive heard HT has been extremely slow lately...... dont know whats going on down there....

There was a thread over on PWCT of people complaining it taking close to a month to get the stuff.

Man wish I had read something on those products sooner. Totally would've tried blacktip. Soft deck has that waffle cut too. The blactip turf looks really nice, the sheets are larger, and it comes with PSA standard. I almost ordered from an external site but thought it would be faster to order directly from the source...Guess I was wrong.

Hydroturf is good stuff and I know they support our industry a lot but it seems like they're going the wrong direction with customer service these days. Longer lead times, shipping prices are outrageous, no more phone ordering, and the bubbles that occured in some sheets used to considered "b stock" but now they are considered normal. I hate to turn my back on a company that has been so good in the past but it's starting to feel like they're turning their backs on us because they know that they've basically cornered the market.

How is blacktip in regards to traction and wear vs hydroturf?

Check your days/dates May 9th was a Monday....
If you placed on Thursday the 12th, they are closed on Fridays, so the really did not see the order until the 16th.

Still sucks, I have bashed them before for their customer service, I would only order from them (direct) if I had a special order and willing to wait a month.

They make great stuff.

TOM21 did a couple skis with Blacktip... seems to be holding up nice. At first it appears to be "slick" but he said it has the same traction as HT.

Oops... I did screw up the dates. The order was placed late May 12th (Thursday). I didn't realize they were closed on Fridays though. I guess the time isn't as long as I originally thought but only being open Mon-Thurs is one more jab for their lack of service. Guess it'll be Blowsion or Blactip from now on. The 15% discount has to be countered with rush order just to make it normal. Oh well... lesson learned. Thanks for the added links to different turf.
