What should we get? The Blowsion nose piece, side pieces? Tell us what we should get here. My brothers ski is already getting crack, and mine are just starting. Whats the best route? :cheer:

Thanks
Matt

My brothers is in alot of places. Mine is starting, or just the paint, right by the corners in the front by the handpole. My brothers is there also. I will get pictures when I get home though. I just want to know what I should do for preventative also, since big boat wakes are always around! :cheer:

Well, I am putting 5 layers of 1208 biaxial fiberglass under the handlepole of my 06 SJ, plus a layer of structural carbon fiber.

The bond line will be filled with epoxy mixed with milled fiber, and covered with one layer of 1208 biaxial fiberglass and one layer of structural carbon fiber for strength and bling.

Any actual cracks should be ground out in a 'V' and filled with epoxy mixed with milled fibers and chopped fibers. Ground down, then reinforced at the back.

That is what I have been instructed to do, and have done in the past.

We fixed a 2" dia hole in the front of LilFreestyler's SJ this way, and it has taken a pounding since with no show of fatigue or weakening.

The 62T is in the SN with a 48, and am purching a Big Bore top end to go on my other 62T cases to go in the RN.

There should be plenty of fun to go around!

Resin is heavy, but honestly how much would you use in the bondline?

A pound, two?

I would rather have the ski 10 pounds heavier and built like a brick shiat house, and concentrate on getting 10 pounds of skill.

I ride 95% flatwater also, but skilzz is where it's at.:cool2:

I have ridden 6mm stroked backflip hulls with trim and still couldn't backflip. weight and power mean nothing if you don't have the skillz...:banghead:

I run two Kawis and you have to do the nose under the handlepole. Don't buy the blowsion stuff, waste of money IMO. I just did 5 layers of Carbon on mine and used longer bolts and larger area washers for the bracket. It is STILL cracking a little. Bad spot on the kawis. I did two layers of Carbon on the inside of the hull, filling the bond line with the west systems 410 lightweight filler, that made it way easier to lay the carbon and the filled line looks way better. I added a few pounds to the ski but lost it in other areas to compensate.
