Goal is to be in the water by the 2nd weekend in April. wish me luck i want to do it right:biggthumpup:

Use a good epoxy resin. I suggest something like West Systems, which you can buy at any good Marine Store. Indeed, stay away from polyester resin, and quick curing resins. The quicker the cure, the more brittle the result.
Ideally, you will want a resin that takes it's time to cure. I presume you are not going to vacuum bag down your repairs, so see if you can get some peel ply to place on top of your repairs to smooth them, and to absorb the extra resin. Then the peel ply is removed a day or so later after the resin is cured. Prof

Cure time has nothing to do with final structure in epoxy resins.
Epoxy resins are brittle by themselves. They need a matrix of material to harden in - i.e., glass, carbon, whatever.

I admit that slower cure stuff is easier to work with on larger projects, for simple convenience of being able to take your time.

I wouldn't shell out the premium for West Systems. It is severely overpriced. You can pick up very nice quality resins with metering pumps, a couple of different viscosities, for under $50 per gallon.

If the hull is SMC (Sheet Molded Compound), then glass and epoxy resin is the ticket.
