I took a set of 62t760 cylinders and decked the bottom of them to lower the port timing to get it closer to 61x port timing and im also gonna do the sport port porting to it and run 180psi compression on a set of 62t cases.do you think i should use the dual 38s or go to a single 46 or dual 44s for freestyle.also will this be a decent reliable motor, and im running a b pipe
thanks

what have you done about the fact that you have lowered the overall height of the cylinders in relation to the stroke of the pistons????They gonna be hitting your head/domes...

Depending on how much is taken off, any of the good machinists on here can cut and reshape the domes for you.

If he decked the bottom of the cyl, then all the port timing will be affected. Not sure how this is going to run. If it were me I would have had LPW drop some of his big bore sleeves in and hook it up with a kick a$$ port job. At least he can always get a spacer plate made if it runs like crap. Good luck

or just use thicker base gaskets depending on how much he had the cylinder decked

the domes have been cut to accept the cylinder being moved down.I entended to move the port timing cause the 62t port timing is too high.Ive talked to Ed from fullspectrum about this setup before he said he "never rode one setup like this but everything makes sence"and its too cold here to ride just curious if anyone knew how it would run

I do it all the time w/62t cylinders! You should cut the cylinders between .060-.085 when doing this mod. I use ADA heads as the ADA domes will cut out no problem as they're plenty thick and won't crack like protec's and riva's domes. P.S. you will need to port match the factory pipe manifold, use raider gasket and install heilicoils in the exhaust bolt-holes for the SJ 8mm bolts.
