Why does every thread Dirk is in turn into a CLUSTERFOCK!!!
I did observe there is only one letter difference between Dirk and Dick,I think maybe it should be Dickwiggler instead of Dirkdiggler.

Matt do you know Dirk he's from WI you guys could go ride or you could help him with his ski or show him what a lanyard does and how to wear a pfd :joke:

Again, you fail DorkDiggler.

Why do you fail?

No, but a couple of fancy plug wires glued on it would look nice.

Why so much "hater-ade?" I can't figure out the root of all the evil:skull2:? what went down with Dirk?

Has anyone turfed a FX-1 chin pad with good results?? How hard was it??
The chin pad is not the same as a square nose SJ. The FX-1 is rounder right, which will make it more difficult to turf??

It does not matter how rounder it is. Contact cement & hydroturf mold well if you use the cement properly and some heat to mold the turf. Just trim & sand the under padding to hide the imperfections of the plastic frame and lay the turf atop that and trim it out. Viola, you are done.

i used the 1" pad underneath and shaped it with a ros sander x 60 grit. lots of cement, but had a little trouble in the back. I used a fair amount of heat and got the turf real plyable, but it wanted to overlap on the back edge. I cut out some narrow triangle slits for about 3-4, 1/2" seams and used a little superglue in between seam edges to make sure it stays put. The end product turned out nice. Next time i'll use more narrow pad though.

I used the 3/16 standard under pad and some closed cell foam blocks on each side to fill in the recesses where the brass blocks are.

I wrapped the turf all the way around and then went back over the edges with super glue. So far I have one season and lots of subs on it and its as good as the day I finished it.

The white turf looks pimp, just be sure and never go to Georgia and ride anywhere near that nasty red clay. It will stain it and never come clean.

Dooh, I did not even notice that your sig said Georgia. You are a brave man to sport some white turf around that nasty stuff. We have it in spots here in middle TN and I remember trashing some great MX clothing back in the day when I was into the dirt bikes.
