We set up 5 bouys track real fast. It's in the shape of a P. Run 20 laps one way then 20 backwards. It's fun if you don't have time or bouys to set a bigger track.

word. my ski does 49. maybe less now with a bored nozzle. I hope you make it twisty cause ill get burned on the straights.

I bet it would be a ton of fun on blasters since they are all about the same speed though.

Are you just looking for shape ideas or do you really need to know how to set one up?

I have attached a shape similar to what we normally do. It's quick to set up, doesn't take a lot of buoys and is a blast. Consider one of the two yellows optional. Space the buoys according to the speed of boats you are racing. I like to have the straight away long enough so that 1/2 or 3/4 of the way down it you are at full speed and the rest of the track short enough so you never hit full speed. Deff run any track you set up both ways, it really changes the feel.

You can get buoys from alot of sources (i think we did riva) and we just use cheap weight lifting weights and twine to hold them into position. Really, you could use something free like milk jugs if you wanted to. Tie the weights on when you get them into position the first time. You don't want the anchor line too long or too short so this allows you to set them at the perfect height.

I am not a racer, we just do this for fun and it really makes for a nice change of pace every now and again. Make sure you do this where there is no traffic. The last thing you want is a boat to come cruising through, not to mention you technically need a permit to set something like this up.

Unfortunately for us the tide changes so its hard to set up the weights once and have them be okay forever. Is there a way to set them up with 3 feet of adjustability depending on the tide?

Not sure where he wants to set them up either. It might be in the shallows where there is no boat traffic near the marsh anyway. Maybe 5 feet deep at high tide and only two at low.

I've never tried it before because we don't deal with tide, but I just thought of a an idea with two diff size weights per buoy that might work for this. Might want to try it on one first to see how it goes...
