I have been searching the forum to see what others have done to restore the purple plastic bumpers and trim on a 96 Superjet. All of it has turned white from sitting out in the sun. I do not want to repaint. Is heat the answer, or does heat permanently change the plastic to gloss?

The ski had a fair amount of mold on it as well. Is bleach ok on plastic or is there a chance of burning it?

Any help is appreciated.

What about treating it afterwards? I am sure it must need something to rejuvenate whatever "oils" were in the plastic to keep it from getting brittle. Any opinion on using heat gun?

Some guys use a heat gun.l never had any luck.As far as treating the plastic afterwards,IDK. l just scrubbed mine on a fx1 and left it,no problems.
