How to remove throttle switch on carb?

how do i remove the piece of the throttle that the throttle cable connects to?? it has the spring on it.

im connecting dual linkage.

so far i removed the end nut.

now what?

It should pop right off.

nothings poping off. even with some a little encouragement

whats left: spring, idle screw, the piece idle screw touches, shaft

If it is a Mikuni carb then removing the nut & washers should allow it to come right off. The spring will be applying tension but all should just slide off the slotted shaft end. Good luck

got it. more encouragement was needed.

1.Remove the throttle lever, idle stop, spring, and sleeve.
2.Cut threaded shaft end to the desired length
3.Cut enough of the threaded end of the shaft to allow one eighth inch (.125”) clearance between the shaft ends: Be sure to chamber sharp edges.
4.The sleeve that was removed from the carb is actually the THRUST SPACER and must be used with coupler.
