FX-1 how to remove pads to turf?

my turf should be here soon. how do i remove the side pads on my fx-1? i see the buttons on the sides. is there a way to tke these out to save the pads? there in nere perfect condition and i think it would be a waste to destroy them! somone might want them down the road!

cant wait to get this thing turfed up! i dont like the slippery stock pads!!

Pop the caps of the buttons off with a screwdriver (or similar weapon) and drill out the rivets. No need to damage pads.
Just finished turfing the tray on mine and love it (still waiting on rail turf to arrive). Huge improvement over stock!

Don't forget to seal the rivet holes before turfing
