How to mount accessories?

Hi,

I'm a new owner of a Super Jet. I'd like to mount some accessories: a GPS, a solar charger, and a battery meter (the battery meter could be under the hood - I only need to check it before I head out). Any advice on how to do this?

There's not much if any room on the handle bars for a GPS mount. And how would you get 12V (or 5V USB) power to it?

Where would I wire up a solar charger? Do people drill holes in the hull and mount some sort of jack?

Any thoughts on where and how to mount a battery meter?

Do people drill holes in the hood for accessories? Since the hood is removable, how do you deal with the wires?

Thank you,
Bob

Most of us mount our solar charges onto the pole like this.

Welcome to the X Bob! I see your part of the senior class like myself.
The items you listed are “non essential” items for stand ups.The ski that Quinc shows in the pic is a number of years old and was a great idea at the time for a solar charger to be incorporated into the pole, but apparently didn’t catch on to other manufacturers.
Maybe throw a trickle charger on the ski after riding would assure a good battery for your next outing. As far as gps, maybe a small hand held if it made you feel better about where you are at...

Advise,go out and ride the crap out of the super jet and forget about everything else!

The GPS is mostly so that I can find my way back to the car when I'm on an unfamiliar lake.

I wear an Apple Watch with cell service most of the time I’m riding. You could use that to navigate back and you don’t have to mount it. Bonus: you can tie strap a crappy Bluetooth speaker to your helmet and listen to music while you ride (I’ve done this, it’s fun)
