What is best tool if superjets impeller is stuck. Driveshaft bends when i turn the wrench. Im trying to heat up impeller but that wont work. It is still stuck.
That is stainless steel solas impeller. And i dont want to cut it off with angle grinder.
:sneaky: Okay... More heat... i use some wd-40 and heat allready but will continue that tomorrow, have ever somebody twist that drive shaft? Or brake that friction weld?
Put that prop in a big bench vise with a towel wrapped around it then use your largest breaker bar with a long pipe attached to the end of it and break that biatch lose. It's always worked for me even without applying heat to the prop. Just be real careful on how you clamp the prop in the vise so you don't damage the blades.
if you cant get it off, go the safe way and take it to a local boat/ski shop. They should know how to get it off and have a breaker bar and some tricks.
I always used a short cheater bar and the kick start method.
Put your foot on the bar than transfer all your weight onto that foot in a quick motion, don't jump on it as you might slip. (Like starting a big 4 stroke single)
